When Silence Sings

When Silence Sings

is a multimedia work-in-progress performance that explores a mother's journey toward understanding and connecting with her young autistic son. Moving from the uncertainty and denial that often follows an autism diagnosis to discovering the unique rhythm, beauty, and language through which her son experiences the world, this intimate piece blends live performance, puppetry, original music, and projected film to illuminate the many ways love can be expressed beyond words.

Created and written by Andrea Almario, the production features Andrea Almario as the Mother, Aureen Almario as puppeteer, Nix Guirre as performer and video artist, Rachel Lastimosa as Musical Director, and Rosita Almario as an ensemble performer.
