Jordan I. Guingao
Actor: Father Vernon - Most Cunning Serpent

Jordan I. Guingao is a writer and actor who works in the fine tradition of people who never quite figured out how to sit still.

This past May, they premiered the Indios Bravos Trilogy at Bindlestiff Studio—and now, they're back onstage for Queer as Fuck, staged, gloriously, on its tenth anniversary.

Bindlestiff is our hallowed home. There's something holy on this stage—sacred to generations of artists who've passed through it before us and will pass through it long after. We speak truth on a stage buried deep beneath the dirt of this city, in a basement on Sixth Street, but press your ear against the floorboards and you'll feel the thrum of something alive. Not just the history, not just our ancestors who roam these halls, but the plain fact that Bindlestiff is built on top of the heart of this city.

Love, unconditional, to their fellow Most Cunnings: Twinkslayer, Raph, Nic, and Kal. Love to their fellow Indios Bravos: Jean, Rafi, Rene, Sandra, and Acbao. And love—the kind you don't get to say enough—to Aureen and Oli, for keeping the stiff alive, and for rerouting the whole trajectory of their life three years ago.

Catch them next in October as Elbow and Bernardine in Berkeley Shakespeare Company's Measure for Measure. Then in December, at SFBATCO's Creators' Lab showcase, for a staged reading of their new solo show, At Kalikasan's Gate.

Diyos mabalos.

Josephine Baker

Jud Ferrer
Actor: Ky - in the spring, Great Aunt Maria - Ancestor

Jud Ferrer is the founder of Queer as Fuck, and has been involved with Bindlestiff since the early 2000s, first coming around to watch shows as a student from SF State for extra credit, then by becoming a volunteer: mopping up floors, managing the box office, and running lights for shows. Soon enough, Jud became more involved with the inner workings of putting on Bindlestiff productions, supporting projects like the Movement Show, Stories High, Midnight Mass, and Granny Cart Gangstas. In 2016, Jud was inspired to bring the magical way Bindlestiff approaches theater to the masses and created a new project. The goal of Queer as Fuck was to serve as a safe space for Queer and Trans People of Color to share our stories OUR way. What started off as a simple email call out asking if folks wanted to have fun on stage has developed into an ever-growing theater troupe celebrating 10 years of Queer Fuckery.

In December of 2024, Jud moved back to their hometown of Carson, CA to be a caretaker and spend time with their mama. Thanks to their amazing partner, Sandra, Jud’s current hyper-fixaction is gardening and most days you can find them talking to plants, trying to identify good vs bad bugs, chasing off squirrels, and going to estate sales/thrift stores to find fun stuff for their garden. Jud -at some point soon- will also finish their full length play and short film. In theory.
