Come make history with us at Bindlestiff Studio. Since 1989 we've been serving up bold, experimental and cutting-edge theater productions to San Francisco's ethnically diverse South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood. In 1997 the theater became THE nation's first and only theater space dedicated to showcasing Pilipino American artists and theater companies. Through a contract with the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency (SFRA), we have the groundbreaking opportunity to shape our own destiny and become the first-ever permanent Pilipino American performing arts space in the country! But only together can we make this milestone in our community happen. Only together can we re-build our center for Pilipino arts.

In 2003, Bindlestiff was displaced from its original theater by SFRA which acquired its building for a low-cost housing project. SFRA committed to building the shell of a new 99-seat, black box theater for Bindlestiff in the basement of the rebuilt housing complex. By joining Bindlestiff's Capital Campaign, you will help transform the space into a vibrant, new theater for the community in 2006.
