PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES

Bindlestiff Studio provides a home and creative opportunities for more than 300 artists and community art groups in the fields of theater, spoken word, music, visual arts, film, stand-up comedy and other interdisciplinary expressions each year.   Our signature programs include:

piNOISE POP

An annual music festival featuring pan-Asian independent rock music groups recently funded by the National Endowment for the Arts.

STORIES HIGH

A theater laboratory that incubates new writers, actors and directors.

THE QUEUE

A project-based filmmaking workshop that focuses on developing screenwriters, camera operators, directors, and producers.

PANSINEMA

A film and video festival that features independent filmmakers throughout the country.

MAIN STAGE

A theater repertory program that highlights new original works and adaptations from established and emerging playwrights.

CHILDREN & YOUTH THEATER PROGRAM

An after school drama-in-education program for Pilipino American youth in the SoMa neighborhood.
