In Bituin - Encore Performance
In Bituin is the confessional solo performance by Allan Samson Manalo, returning to Bindlestiff Studio for a special one-day-only, encore presentation. This semi-autobiographical work traces the journey of a Filipino American comic in search of his cultural identity, who finds love in Manila only to face devastating loss 29 years later. The title is a play on the phrase “in-between” and the Pilipino word bituin (meaning “stars”), symbolizing both the space between cultural identities and the transformative power of enduring grief.
This encore performance is made possible by the generous support of Mona Lisa Yuchengco.
